Statement of Faith

Huntsville Christian Church is a congregational governed church
in the Campbell-Stone tradition. Though we are not a creedal church, we unite around a set of common beliefs that include:

1. The Bible is the fully inspired Word of God and our final authority in all matters of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

2.We believe in the one God, Triune,Father,Son and Holy Spirit
(Genisis1:26;Isaiah 6:8;Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14)

3. We believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, born of a virgin, shed His blood by dying on Calvary`s cross for the remission of our sins and rising on the third day for our justification. We believe that Jesus is coming again to this earth to rule and to reign as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (john 3:16;Isaiah 7:4,Matthew 1:16;Matthew 20:28;ii Corinth.5:18-19;John 20:1-9; I thess.4)


4. We believe the Holy Spirit, the third person of the trinity, seeks to lesd all people to a saving knowledge of Christ by convicting of sin and exaulting Christ, so that he indwells every believer and gives gifts as He wills to those believers for the building up of the faith.

5. We believe the New Testament Church is made up of those regenerate people who have been born again by the Spirit of God and seek to grow in love and fellowship with the Lord and other believers. We  believe that Christ has given two ordinances for the church:
a. Believers Baptism by Immersion;
b. The Lords Table, open to all believers and celebrated each Lord`s Day. (Acts 2:41-47)

6. We believe that the soul of man is eternal with the choice of two eternal destinies. For those believing in Jesus Christ, eternal life with the Lord in that place He has prepared; for those non-belivers, eternal death and condemnation with satan and his angels in the Lake of Hells Fire. (Gen. 2:7;John 3:36; John 14:6; Rev.20:10-15;Matthew 25:41)
